چکیده
The enormous genetic diversity in South Asia resulting from a long and complex admixture history resulted the emergence of variation various traits variations disease susceptibility. Neuropsychological disorders are one such example that shows at population level. In this study, we aimed understanding neuropsychological level among Asian populations by curating, comparing contrasting single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), known to be associated with same. Whole-genome data comprising 1662 Asians, belonging 241 distinct were obtained database Dr. David Reich, Harvard Medical School, USA. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) revealed Ancestral Tibeto Burman (ATB) genomes form distinguishable cluster for SNPs disorders. Identical By Descent (IBD) analysis showed out top seven terms IBD sharing, six Southern India indicating these may have undergone recent selective sweep SNPs. Further, ten genomes, according number fixed minor alleles, India. Furthermore, several indigenous depicted high F values (>0.25) disorders, higher susceptibility Indian populations. Interestingly, found most SNPs, alternative also ancient Indus Valley Civilization (IVC), likely got transmitted modern-day IVC.

Genome-wide association study of ancestry-specific TB risk in the South African Coloured population.
The worldwide burden of tuberculosis (TB) remains an enormous problem, and is particularly severe in the admixed South African Coloured (SAC) population residing in the Western Cape. Despite evidence from twin studies suggesting a strong genetic component to TB resistance, only a few loci have been identified to date. In this work, we conduct a genome-wide association study (GWAS), meta-analysi...

OBJECTIVE To test Koctürk's model of dietary change among South-Asian Surinamese in the Netherlands. The model categorizes foods into staple, complementary and accessory foods and postulates that dietary change after migration begins with accessory foods while foods associated with ethnic identity (staple foods) change at a slower rate. DESIGN Cross-sectional data from the HELIUS study. Dieta...

Introduction: Optimum component positioning and orientation is required to optimize the functional result during total hip arthroplasty for dysplastic hips. Patients and methods: Sixty-two patients (66 hips) including 33 males and 29 females underwent total hip arthroplasty using modular stem prosthesis at an average age of 40.6 years (range 17 to 49 years). Nineteen hips were clas...
